Thus training young students to type properly is as important as training them to write properly and due to technological dependency of today’s world, this importance is magnified. Just as the faulty habit of holding the pencil wrongly sustains throughout the student’s life and becomes very difficult to alter later in adulthood, similarly the improper and faulty typing habits can also be seldom changed in later life. Just as due to improper guidance young students can develop the faulty habit of holding the pencil wrongly, similarly due to improper guidance many young students can also acquire the faulty habit of typing wrongly i.e. The ability to type speedily and effectively develops with training. Thus in many instances teaching young students computer applications like power point or spreadsheet is not that difficult but the aspect which is the most important and often taken for granted is typing skills. Many young children are able to do things which even sometimes a fully grown individual fails to do. Finding a four year old easily and successfully operating a computer or mobile is not an unusual sighting these days. It is also observed that most students of this century are very well able to adapt to this computer centric environment owing to their astute brains and brain wiring which is highly sensitive to technology. So to survive in this drastic changes that are taking place in the education sector and also to ensure a successful career ahead, computer education is a must. Many students, after passing out from school will indulge in work that includes working with computers, irrespective of what fields they get into. To help your children keep pace with these technological changes, computer education becomes very important. The concept of online courses and examinations are also burgeoning. Now discussion forums and social networking sites have become the hub for such heated discussions. We have left behind the times when our presence was necessary to indulge in heated arguments about some trending topic with our mates. Libraries seem to be the most unexplored corners of many institutions because web based research is very much in vogue. Teachers in the classrooms are no more the bearer of ultimate wisdom but have greatly become more of a facilitator rather than a dispenser of information. Today, carrying books and notes have become a thing of the past and laptops and ipads have replaced them instead. Smart class, ebooks, power point presentations, spreadsheets are tools which today every school goer is familiar with. Technology has impacted all the areas of our society and its impact on the education sector is also not slim. Technology has changed how people love and live by and reduced communication barriers among people of the world. Gone are the days when people wrote letters to their loved ones and waited with clenched hearts for days to get their response. From finding new restaurants in your locality to applying to our desired university, technology has simplified things and has added a new dimension to our society. It has changed people’s lives and changed how people carry on with their lives. It is not an understatement to say that technology has been sewn into the fabric of human life.
